I love Taco Del Mar. I'm from Tacoma and they closed down all but one of the restaurants so I'm really thankful that they have one here in Pullman! It's certainly not Chipotle, but I enjoy the simplicity of the ingredients and that you get several choices for your tortilla.
It's especially convenient being vegetarian. I always get the spinach tortilla with everything but the meat. The salsa/sauces aren't that spicy so if you're someone that enjoys some spiciness, definitely go for the Ghost Pepper sauce, or Hot Habanero if you're unsure about the Ghost Pepper.
The best part about Taco Del Mar is definitely the price for the quality. My burritos never exceed $7 and I'm satisfied and full after I chow down. Plus, if you're 21 and decide to eat there you can have a cheap beer (win-win).
I hope this one doesn't disappear on me. TDM is underrated. -

Mission style burritos similar to Chipotle or Qdoba. I certainly get more of a homey vibe from this location. Has a small town feel even though this is a national chain.
Huge burritos forms good price so that's great for students. If you work nearby it's also a great lunch option if you don't want Basillios for Italian or nearby Subway. Vegan/Vegetarian options so that's a huge plus for the small city of Pullman.
Generally clean inside and they have a great variety of proteins available. Fairly delicious as a result but the quality of many of the items pales in comparison to other Taco Del Mar's. Had the same burrito I normally get at a Auburn Washington location and was blown away at how good it was. Guess the demand for great food in Pullman isn't enough to push this location to step their game up.
Another issue unfortunately is with the franchise owners. Chris is fairly nice and you wouldn't even know he was co-owner. Works the register and line and is generally friendly. His mother who generally works the register always seems to have an attitude. The rest of the staff are super enthusiastic about menu suggestions and cordial.
Nice spot downtown. Outdoor seating and ample seating indoors. Ok on a normal day but nothing wild to write home about unfortunately. -

Always a delight to stop at the Pullman Taco Del Mar. Fish tacos are TDM'S hidden treasure, but try a classic crispy hard shell taco with ground beef and hot Habenaro sauce. Brings you back. And they're not small like those 89 cent jobs. They use 7 inch tortillas. TDM Pullman pull mine off, I practically inhaled them

I've been once in the time I've lived in Pullman.. haven't stopped back in because I probably wasn't that impressed initially.
Today reiterated why I don't frequent the taco stop.
I had a small chicken burrito, chips, guac+salsa, and a beer.
The most I can say about the experience is this: I came in hungry and left, well.. not hungry.
The customer service was great. The restaurant appeared clean and I was in and out quickly However, unsurprisingly flavorless ingredients, thus typical of a lunch/dinner quick chain eatery. Burrito was primarily rice and beans, minimal chicken (blan flavor, so not entirely disappointed in that fact?..)
End thoughts- If I stop in again its primarily because I like to shop local.. perhaps I'll try another menu option, but will likely end up with the same experience due to the ingredients used. -

Had some time on Pullman as a first time visitor and needed to find a light lunch. Was actually going to go somewhere else but couldn't find a place to park nearby so came back to this area where there's a public free car park nearby. This is a chipotle style Mexican cafe. I got a burrito bowl which is all the filling of a burrito but in a bowl instead of a tortilla wrap. I chose the pulled pork, with rice, black beans, lettuce, cabbage, cheese, pinto sauce, corn and black bean salsa, cilantro and a lime squeeze. It wasn't spicy but at the same time not bland, so a drop of hot sauce would liven it up easily. I was impressed by the quality and flavor of each ingredient- it actually tasted better than I thought it would. The pork was juicy without being greasy. I actually preferred it to Chipotle as there was no raw onion taste. The bowl was smaller than chipotle (and accordingly priced cheaper) which suited me fine as I wanted something quite small and light. The server was nice too.
